Community Classroom Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Health IT in the CLE (HIT in the CLE) and BioEnterprise will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new Community Classroom in the BioEnterprise Incubator at University Circle. The HIT in the CLE Community Classroom, through the generous support of the Cleveland Foundation and the state of Ohio, provides free afterschool computer and data science instruction to middle and high schoolers in Cleveland and surrounding suburbs, with a mission to create a diverse talent pipeline for health IT and other tech companies.
Program students and instructors will be in attendance, as well as elected officials, nonprofits and foundation community partners, educators and industry supporters. Participants and partners will speak about the vital role this classroom initiative plays in building a pipeline to fill the critical need for IT talent in Northeast Ohio.
